Great Parks for Outdoor Parties in Winnetka IL

Technically considered a village, Winnetka is a lovely destination due to its proximity to Chicago and Milwaukee. In addition, it resides directly on Lake Michigan and therefore makes for an incredible location for an outdoor event. Though the town only has 13,000 residents, others flock to the area when the weather is nice, here are some choices for you to enjoy this quaint lakeside location.

Centennial Park

Residing right along the lake, this park is nice for walking dogs. You are required to be a member in order to park at the actual park and the beach is near the parking lot. It is a 5 acre park.

Hubbard Woods Park

This park is in the heart of downtown Winnetka. The playgrounds are always packed with kids, which can be good or bad. The park is made famous by its proximity to the house from Home Alone.

Clarkson Park

Actually closer to Northfield, this park had a major renovation completed in the spring of 2021. It now has a splash pad and multiple playgrounds. In addition, there are various areas for you to rent for your next outdoor event. These include the bandshell, family pavilion, and a lodge. The rate is $100 for residents and $150 for non residents. Glencoe Park

This park has lovely walking trails as well as lake views. It has play areas for kids too.

Dwyer Park

This park has lots to do with multiple play areas, climbing structures, and ample parking. It is also extremely close to downtown Winnetka. The benches and picnic tables are first come, first serve.

Indian Hill Park

This park is in southern Winnetka and has the most to offer. It is 3+ acres in size. Use this link to rent the shelter and picnic tables. The park is close to the lake and a golf course.
