At 180,000 inhabitants, the city of Aurora is the second largest city in the state of Illinois, along with being a primary suburb of Chicago. Montgomery Park

Located directly on the west bank of the river, near downtown, this park offers amenities galore. You can fish, enjoy the play area, or have a picnic here. Also, there is a covered pavilion area that is first come, first serve.

Lebanon Park

On the eastern side of the river, this park has a nice basketball court and plenty of open areas for picnics and parties. There are no reservations required. The bathrooms are clean and it is ripe for family fun.

Abraham Lincoln Park

This park is ideal for walking your dog as it has designated areas. All of the outdoor areas are available for picnics whenever you like. The park is especially nice in the fall for the changing of the leaves.

This tiny park in northwest Aurora is terrific for a few hours getaway from town. They have swings and a basketball court along with a cute pond in the middle. There are no rentals available so come when you want.
